This will be an assembly of young people and partners. Data shows that the bulk of demand for CAMHS is teenagers experiencing anxiety/low mood/depression and we want to figure out how we can tackle this demand and upskill professionals to know how to respond appropriately.
The event is scheduled to happen on 10th October 2017 9am-1pm at the Devizes corn exchange, three rooms have been provisionally booked and we hope to run workshops in all three of these rooms that will help in targeting specific areas for anxiety/low mood/depression
At this event, we hope that participants will be able to:
- Have a better understanding of anxiety and depression, and prevalence rates nationally and locally
- Developed an appreciation of the causal factors of adolescent anxiety and depression and the impact on lives
- Know how to recognise signs and symptoms
- Learn how to minimise anxiety in children and young people Understand the local authority transformation plan for child and adolescent mental health as a response to national and local trends
