Women’s Empowerment Fund – new fund to empower women to tackle abuse

This is to let you know that the Department for Communities and Local Government launched a £250,000 fund to support projects that empower women today. This is an exciting and new opportunity for charities and voluntary groups to bid for between £2,000 – £20,000 to support work that will empower women and give them the skills and confidence to take a full role in their communities and in particular to challenge the circumstances where abuse including child sexual exploitation can occur,

The Department for Communities and Local Government expects to allocate funds to between 10-20 different voluntary and community groups across the country. Funding is available for one year only.
