Volunteers needed to work at Lime Kiln Way

The down above Lime Kiln Way was designated as a County Wildlife Site in 2013 and has recently been transferred to the ownership of Salisbury City Council. It will be managed as a Local Nature Reserve for the benefit of the community and the wildlife that can be found there. In the meantime scrub is encroaching across much of the site which will gradually lead to the loss of open grassland which supports a wealth of wildflowers and butterflies.

Volunteers are to continue with the work started during the winter of 2015/16 to clear scrub, open up the pathways and improve access. Everyone welcome.
