Volunteers needed at Salisbury Library

We are looking for people to get involved as volunteers at Salisbury Library.
Volunteers help to provide a friendly welcome to all members of the public using the library. Volunteers assist with shelving; support customers to use the self-issue machines and keeping the library in a safe, tidy and attractive condition. Volunteers help customers to locate books, talking books and DVDs, and refer those who require further information or support to local staff.
The role involves dealing with people of all ages, and an interest in books and reading is helpful. Volunteers will also need to be comfortable with using IT.
If you would like further information about the Library Support Volunteer role or to request a Library Support Volunteer Information pack please contact Philip Tomes at philip.tomes@wiltshire.gov.uk or on 01722 324145
Volunteer information packs, including volunteer registration and availability forms, can also be picked up at Salisbury Library. The deadline for returning these completed forms is Friday 9 September 2016.
