UK coastal cycle fundraise – needs support

Peter Anders is cycling around the coast of the UK on his bike to raise much needed funds for Wiltshire Mind. Peter is a keen cyclist and has been affected by mental health issues in the past.  He said ‘I just want to take this opportunity to raise awareness of mental health and much needed funds for such a local charity which finds it hard to gain funding for its work in our community.  They do some really great work supporting people but this is often unseen’.

The cycle around the UK will take in the whole coast of the UK and Peter even plans to go across to and around the Scottish Isles. The cycle will take around 2.5 months with Peter averaging rides of 60-65 miles per day. The coastal journey started for Peter on 1 March at Weston Super Mare, progressing on through Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, East Devon and beyond, he has been cycling in all weathers and camping by night.  Carolyn Beale of Wiltshire Mind said ‘Peter is very resilient, cycling miles in all weathers to raise funds – unfortunately, though, he is receiving little support.  It would be great if the community would support him.’ Please donate to support Peter by going on line to: via text: Message PDFM52 enter your amount and send to 70070 or visit our office in High Street, Melksham.
