Tree planting at Fountains Way was a great success

Tree planting at Fountains Way was a great success

Around 20 volunteers turned out to plant trees at Fountains Way on Saturday. This was as part of a partnership between Salisbury Air Quality Action Group and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The trees were donated by the Woodland Trust.

On Friday 6 March, 8 more trees will be planted at the footpath along the river next to Waitrose. This starts at 11am.

These projects are part of a wider project to improve air quality in Salisbury, especially at the locations where air quality is particularly poor, like Wilton Road.

More dates are being organised so we will keep updating this site when new dates are finalised.
