Thank you for cleaning up the city

Thank you for cleaning up the city

Around 250 local volunteers helped to pick up litter around Salisbury last weekend, as part of the national Great British Spring Clean initiative.  Schools, churches, resident groups, community groups and teams led by local councillors all braved the elements to collect 160 bags of litter.

Thank you to all for your hard work and esprit de corps. Tackling litter is one of Salisbury’s top community priorities, councils cannot do it alone.

Regular litter picks take place across the city throughout the year, if you would like to get involved or set up your own regular litter pick, please contact Karen Linaker on 01722 434697 for advice, support and resources.
