Calling all employers interested in hiring apprentices!
The National Apprenticeship Service, in partnership with employers and training providers, is hosting the South West Apprenticeship Challenge which will showcase the talent of apprentices in the Wiltshire area and let employers see for themselves the potential an apprentice can bring to businesses.
As a local employer you are invited to come and meet the apprentices in action at the Corn Exchange in Devizes on 8 March from 1pm – 3.30pm and have the opportunity to see the positive impact they have on businesses and the economy. Register your attendance at the event.
Each team will be given a challenge to solve during the morning and will deliver a presentation to a small panel of judges during the afternoon. The winning team from each regional heat will go forward to the regional final to be held week commencing 21 March and it is hoped that Theo Paphitis will be among the judges!
Wiltshire Council’s professional training arm ‘Learning in Wiltshire’ is working with a team of the council’s apprentice employees who will be entering the challenge. Maggie Giddings from Learning in Wiltshire will be on hand at the event to answer any questions you may have about apprenticeships.
