Salisbury’s new dementia action alliance set to launch

On the 17th June at 3pm in the Salisbury Playhouse, Salisbury will launch a new partnership called the Dementia Action Alliance.  This puts the city on its first steps towards becoming a dementia friendly city.  People with dementia, their carers, and representatives from across Salisbury are warmly invited to join us for this launch event, which will take place in the community room.

The Dementia Friends initiative was set up by the Alzheimer’s Society, who have been working with communities throughout Wiltshire for a number of years to make our towns, villages and cities more welcoming, safer and supportive, so that people with dementia genuinely can live well, and continue to feel a valued member of their community.
