Salisbury’s big ‘clean for the Queen’

Salisbury’s big ‘clean for the Queen’

A series of litter picks will take place on the weekend of 5th and 6th March, which will target badly affected areas and we’re looking for volunteers to help our local efforts.

There has been a fantastic response from local groups to the call for action from town and parish councils, youth groups, housing associations and residents groups who will be participating in the initiative. There are litter picking activities taking place in Salisbury but it is not too late to add your street or local area to the list, or get involved in a scheme near you.

If you have a suggestion on an area that would benefit from a litter pick, would like to organise your own event or would simply like to volunteer to help out then please get in touch (contact details at the bottom).

Litter picking equipment can be provided and there is a vast amount of support and information available by clicking here.

Clean for The Queen is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June 2016. The campaign was launched by Country Life magazine in partnership with Keep Britain Tidy in a bid to rally volunteers across the country to clean up their local areas.
