Salisbury schools, residents and councillors will be out cleaning for the queen this weekend

The  response to the Clean for the Queen campaign from communities in Salisbury has been tremendous.  The following litter picks are taking place today  (4th March) and tomorrow (5th March).

Today (4th March)

  • 10am – Victoria Park, Castle Road
  • 2pm – Pauls Dene Steps and Bishopdown Hill
  • 2.30pm – Cherry Orchard Lane and Lower Road
  • 4pm – Bishopdown One Stop Shop

Tomorrow (5th March)

  • 9.30am – Cycle Path from Five Rivers Leisure Centre to Stratford Road
  • 10am – Bemerton Heath Centre
  • 10am – Harnham Slope
  • 3pm – Bishopdown Farm One Stop Shop

Pop along and join in if you can.  This is a very worthwhile cause, and in getting together to tidy up in teams and neighbourhoods this weekend, the hope is that we can continue this work throughout the following months and years, strengthening and developing further the ‘clean up work’ carried out by many community groups and gatherings already in the city.
