The last of the area board’s £80,000 of capital funding was allocated to Salisbury Stingrays for new digital time pads at the public meeting last night.
The new time pads are a great investment for the Stingrays amateur swimming club which operates out of Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre, helping to replace old broken stock, and to renew equipment that should serve the club well over the next 20 years.
Other projects and causes to benefit from the area board’s youth funding was the new Parkour Park for Churchill Gardens, the brand new week long Youth Festival being planned for Easter 2017, and the Child Contact Centre which provides a vital service to children of separated parents.
The last meeting at which the area board will consider grant applications to its remaining 2016/17 youth budget takes place on the 9th March, 6.30pm at the City Hall. The deadline for applications is the 2nd February.
