Salisbury Area Board grants over £40k for local projects

The Salisbury Area Board met last night to consider a number of key issues for the city, including plans for more affordable housing, the community’s response to rough sleeping, the new visitor parking permit scheme and revised policing structures for Salisbury.

Over £40k of the board’s budget was also granted to a range of local projects and initiatives, including a fund to renew broken bins in the city, a contribution to the Salisbury Craft Festival, a new minibus for the district’s Scout Association, new equipment for the Salisbury Hockey Club, and a number of dance and movement activities to enhance the wellbeing of older people and those living with dementia.

So far in 2016/17, over £80k has been pledged by the board to local initiatives.  Please contact Karen Linaker on 01722 434697 or karen.linaker@wiltshire, if you would like to know more about the board’s grant schemes and how they might be able to support your project or organisation.
