Salisbury – a dementia friendly city

Salisbury – a dementia friendly city

One of the events planned for Dementia Awareness Week this year (15 – 21 May) is a breakfast for the city’s shops and businesses, where staff from the Alzheimer’s Society office in Brown Street will provide awareness training for employees on dementia and how to help those living with this condition to shop well and feel safe.  Employees are invited to pop along to the Alzheimer’s Society offices at 29a Brown Street at 8am on Monday 16th May for this breakfast event.  Dementia aware shops and businesses are all part and parcel of the Salisbury Area Board’s priority to make Salisbury a dementia friendly city.  For more information, contact Caroline Wilson, Dementia Friends Information Worker on 01722 326236.
