Salisbury – a bee city

Salisbury – a bee city

Bee City is an exciting project to involve the city community in learning about wild bees, in fun creative ways.

Bee City will be a commitment from those involved, to learn about wild bees, and look after the places that they live. It will start with a bit of information about why solitary bees are central to this project, and we will be explaining why our gaze will not be at honey bees, but on the other species of bee in the UK – all 260 species of them.

It emphasises education and conservation in a user friendly way. It encourages residents to feel ownership over the city as a supporting role in diverse bee species ongoing care. It celebrates all the efforts made to get involved, find out who is already taking part by clicking on the ‘Bee City’ news page. Scroll down for 3D Bee Trail info or click here for a recent interview about that.
