Lime Kiln Meadow

Lime Kiln Meadow

The meadow above Lime Kiln Way was recently designated as a County Wildlife Site and is due to be transferred to the ownership of Salisbury City Council in the near future.

It will then be managed as a Local Nature Reserve for the benefit of the community and the wildlife that can be found there. In the meantime scrub is encroaching across much of the site which will gradually lead to the loss of open grassland which supports a wealth of wildflowers and butterflies.

Volunteers will be working to clear scrub, open up the pathways and improve access. Everyone welcome.
