As part of Wiltshire Council’s “Warm and Safe scheme” http://www.warmandsafewiltshire.org.uk/ we will be holding a two week campaign called ‘Heat and Eat’ in September promoting the service.
We will be attending markets across the County with the fire service and our health trainers providing help with switching fuel suppliers, saving money on energy bills, fire safety information etc :
Salisbury Market, Tue 6th September (Including a cookery demonstration)
Trowbridge, The Shires, Wed 7th September
Devizes Market, Thu 8th September
Warminster Market, Fri 9th September
Melksham Market, Tue 13th September
Corsham Campus, Thu 15th September (Free cookery workshops)
Chippenham Market, Fri 16th September
On the 15th September we are holding two free cookery workshops at Corsham Campus to help people learn how to cook cheap, nutritious healthy meals using slow cookers to reduce energy use. Participants will be asked to bring a recent fuel bill so that one of our energy advisors can guide them through bill switching and provide advice on making their home warmer and cheaper to heat. They will also be provided with a free slow cooker to take home.
