Elite cycling returns on Sunday 8 May 2016 when the Landmarc Cycle Wiltshire Grand Prix races on Wiltshire’s roads again! The race is part of British Cycling’s Elite Road Race Series Spring Cup and attracts the very top professional riders in the UK. Starting in Salisbury’s Market Square with team introductions from 10am, the race starts at 11am with a ceremonial rollout through the city before heading to Wilton for the racing start. The circuit which takes in numerous parishes, including Burcombe, Barford St Martin, Compton Chamberlayne, Fovant, Ebbesbourne Wake, Bishopstone and Broad Chalke, with riders taking on the challenging climb of Fovant Hill multiple times before heading back into Salisbury for the sprint finish. The race is televised and will provide an incredible visual impact for fans of cycling or those who have seen bike racing on TV and will be thrilling bike fans across the country.
