Wiltshire Council has teamed up with Swindon Town Football in the Community to deliver Kick It Out events during October half term for young people aged 11 to 19. The events will take place at Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club astro-turf on Monday 24 October, 11am-4pm, and Stanley Park, Chippenham on Friday 28 October, and will cost £1 per player for the day.
The events will feature a Street Skillz Championship with activities including the crossbar challenge, speed gun challenge, rebounder challenge, chip bin challenge, keep up challenge, SAQ course and target ring.
Both events will also include tournaments for 14 – 16 year olds, the winners of which will compete in a grand final at half time of Swindon Town’s fixture with Charlton Athletic in November. Individuals, groups of friends, youth groups and other community organisations are encouraged to get involved.
The events will also incorporate the Ability Sports programme for young people aged 9-18 years with a disability.
