Keeping Salisbury safe

Keeping Salisbury safe

This week, councillors, residents and groups with an interest in community safety in Salisbury came together to learn more about the Wiltshire Neighbourhood Watch Association which was first launched in November 2016. Salisbury has a number of neighbourhood watch schemes operating across the city, and there is clear interest from the community for new schemes to be set up.

Crime levels in Salisbury are low, but the benefit of having a strong network of neighbourhood watch schemes means that residents feel more reassured and involved in assisting the police and other community groups such as City Watch, Pub Watch, Shop Watch and the Safer Salisbury Group maintain a safe city.

If you are interested in hearing more about Neighbourhood Watch or would like to:

– join the neighbourhood watch scheme as a member only
– set up a local watch scheme
– volunteer to be a neighbourhood watch scheme co-ordinator
– volunteer to be a neighbourhood watch area co-ordinator

then contact the chairman of the Wiltshire Neighbourhood Watch Association – wnhwa.chair@gmail.com
