Have you got a head for heights?
Young people are being encouraged to push their adrenaline levels to the limit by taking on a high rope course. The course, which is available to 11 to 18 year olds, provides an excellent opportunity for experienced climbers to showcase their skills, or for novices to learn. The sessions run from 14 to 16 February from 11am to 3pm. However, dates may differ depending on the weather. Sessions are free apart from a £5 non-refundable deposit, on attendance.
Laura Mayes, cabinet member for children’s services, said:
“This course is a great way for young people to challenge themselves. High ropes is an activity that isn’t as easily accessible as more mainstream sports or activities such as football and rugby, so it presents something completely different and exciting to get involved with. I know a great deal of planning has gone in to arranging this, so it would be great if as many people as possible can enjoy it.”
For general information about the high ropes course please contact community youth officer Richard Williams, on 07765101338 or email: email@example.com. To book a place contact Wiltshire Outdoor Learning team by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note – times may differ depending on weather and group ability. A £5 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a place.
