Give your views on music clubs and activities for young people

Come along to a discussion session on the 3rd May from 10am at Salisbury and South Wiltshire Sports Club, Skew Bridge, Wilton Road, SP2 9NY to have your say about the kind of music clubs and activities provision your child would like.

In the past there were drumming sessions across the county for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Due to low take up and in response to parent carer feedback, Barnardo’s has worked with Everybody Sing to run music and performance sessions for children and young people with SEND instead.

Despite this change, the take up remains poor, and so Wiltshire Council, and the Wiltshire Parent and Carer Council, are currently reviewing this provision. This discussion session is your opportunity to share your views about the provision your child might want in the future. Would your child like to attend music and performance clubs, would they like something else or are there enough activities which is why take-up has been low?

Please come and tell us what you think. By getting involved now, Barnardo’s will be able to make an informed decision about the provision your children want.

Booking is essential, parents and carers can claim travel and childcare expenses for this event and refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Please book online http://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MusicDiscussion2018 or call us on 01225 764647 or email office@wiltspcc.co.uk

Booking closes at 5pm on Sunday 15th April
