Funding for greener living

Funding for greener living

The Tesco Bags of Help scheme was launched in October 2015 and enables local community groups to apply for money to develop local resources and promote greener living and working. There are grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 available for each region per funding round.

There are several rounds of applications throughout the programme and the first round of funding has just completed in February. Over 8 million Tesco customers voted across 2,500 stores nationwide for variety of community group projects, and from this nearly £13 million will be awarded to 1,284 community groups.

The second round of funding applications opens on the 18th April. To find out more, go to our website at http://www.groundwork.org.uk/tescocommunityscheme

If you have applied previously and were unsuccessful, you are still eligible to apply again.

As part of our work to promote the programme across the South West region, we would also be interested in any up and coming events or opportunities we may be able to attend. We would like to speak to prospective grant applicants and spread the word about the scheme. If you have any relevant events or groups you think this may be applicable to.  Please contact Caroline Mc Kenna on 01179 103930 or Karen Linaker on 01722 434697 for more information.
