Free dance sessions for the over 60s

The Salisbury Area Board, working in partnership with local dance group DANCE SIX 0 and the Alzheimer’s Society, are funding 2 free dance taster sessions for Salisbury’s over 60s at Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre (formerly the leisure centre), on the 19th May.

The first session starts at 1.30pm and is a mainly chair based dance session, the second starts at 3pm and is a more active dance session.

This has been organised to coincide with Dementia Awareness Week, recognising the positive impact dance can have on the health and wellbeing of those living with dementia.  If the sessions prove popular, the Salisbury Area Board will be asked to fund additional free sessions at the centre during the summer and autumn 2016.
