Salisbury Community Energy Limited (SCE) will be launching its first community share offer in the New Year, using monies invested by the great Salisbury public to build and operate local solar and hydro electric installations. The feasibility studies commissioned by us are drawing to a close, and with a robust model for return on investment we anticipate a healthy return for investors as well as a surplus to be paid into our community benefit fund. This fund is currently earmarked for educational and flood mitigation projects in and around Salisbury. We are now looking to recruit a person with sound knowledge of accountancy and financial management onto our Board of Directors. This is a honorary position for someone who loves nothing more than achieving a good return for their community. It involves attending monthly Board meetings, acting as a sounding board and critical friend, and overseeing the roll-out of our community share offer. All reasonable expenses will be paid.
