Carers Rights Day 2017 falls on Friday 24th November and this year’s theme is “Make Connections – Get Support”
Last year, research from Carers UK showed that many people who look after loved ones don’t see themselves as carers. Not recognising you are caring means missing out on vital help, advice and information.
This year the Carer Support Wiltshire team will be out and about in the regions hospitals with a drop in information session at Salisbury District Hospital at their Springs Restaurant, (Level 2) between 10.30am and 2.30pm. The session is open to all. We will also be at County Hall in Trowbridge and Trowbridge College with information around accessing support and services.
If you are looking after a loved one, relative or friend, or you know of someone who is and might need support get in touch. make that connection and take the first step. It could make all the difference. You can contact Carer Support Wiltshire on 0800 181 4118 or visit their website for more info www.carersinwiltshire.co.uk
