The Salisbury Rotary Club & the Salisbury Journal invites you to join them for their annual swimathon which will take place at the Godolphin School Pool on Saturday 7th April, and the Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre on the 8th April.
Over the last 13 years we have raised over £140.000, for Local Charities throughout the district.
Places are still available, and we invite you, your friends and family to take part.
The following Beneficial Charities have been selected for 2018:
Wiltshire Air Ambulance – is an essential helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) for anyone who lives, works or travels in Wiltshire and surrounding counties. WAA is a charity and relies almost entirely on the generosity of the public and businesses. Our strapline is ‘funded by you, flying for you’.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is a charity which supports the 70,000-people living in the UK with muscle weakening and muscle wasting conditions. There are over 60 types of muscular dystrophy some of which are very rare. The local Salisbury branch supports the charity by arranging fund raising events and providing support for local families who have family members affected by M.D.
Over the last few years we have been able to support many local charities, including the Stars Appeal, Breast Cancer Unit, the Jo Benson Day Centre, The Mayor of Salisbury Charitable Fund, Woodlands Primary School and The Diabetic Society, to name just a few.
Application can be by form (available from Five Rivers), via email, or on line at www.salisburyrotary.org.uk
We hope you can join us in April, and give your support to the above well deserving charities.
