Local charity, Alabaré, are calling on all dedicated followers of fashion to don their glad-rags and purchase tickets for an evening of glitz and glamour in aid of the charity’s Learning Disability services.
On Thursday 21st April, The Learning Disability Team from Alabaré will be presenting a ‘red carpet’ themed fashion show, styled and produced by staff and local people with Learning Disabilities who are supported by Alabaré. The charity’s Learning Disability clients and staff have been working hard, scouring the rails at Alabaré’s charity shop and Emporium (located on Catherine Street and at the Church Fields Trading Estate) for outfits to upcycle into designer inspired fashion ensembles that will be on display during the Fashion Show. The upcycled outfits will be replicating the lastest designer fashions seen on the catwalks and will be an opportunity to find out how you too can achieve the looks at a fraction of the cost.
The show will take place at Wiltshire College, Salisbury, with doors opening at 6.30pm. The evening is being staged in partnership with Wiltshire College, Salisbury, who are kindly donating the venue and students to support the evening. Toni and Guy, Salisbury is also generously lending their support by styling the models for the evening.
All money raised will go directly to Alabaré’s life changing work with people with Learning Disabilities. Through Alabaré’s homes and services, people with Learning Disabilities are able to take control of their lives and live the life they choose. Alabaré offer a range of support and training opportunities to clients in their own homes, within Alabaré’s supported accommodation and at their training facilities at Barford St Martin and Old Sarum.
