The Building Bridges programme supports people across Swindon and Wiltshire who are facing significant challenges in being able to develop their skills, access education or move towards the world of work.
The programme is a partnership of local organisations with extensive experience in supporting people and giving them the skills and confidence they need to move forward. Taking part in the programme is entirely voluntary and all of the advice and support is offered completely free of charge.
The project has received £3.9M of funding from the European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Fund Growth Programme in England. The Department for Work and Pensions is the Managing Authority for the England European Social Fund programme. Established by the European
Union, the European Social Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations.
