The Salisbury Area Board hosted lively discussions last night about a number of local crime and community safety matters, including the different computer and telephone scams that many in the city fall prey to, and the basing of police teams at Bourne Hill.
Other issues such as the re-launch of neighbourhood watch and improving non-vehicular sustainable links between developments were discussed, and funding was agreed for a number of local projects and initiatives.
Owing to the high demand for grants this year, the board now only has £1,500 remaining in its capital budget. However, there is just short of £24,000 available in the board’s youth budget.
