Area Board awarded £150k in Salisbury in 2015/16

The Salisbury Area Board has awarded £150k to a range of projects and initiatives in 2015/16.  Grants were awarded to arts, crafts, music, cultural, environmental, sport, leisure, transport, youth, health and wellbeing related causes.  Nearly 40 local clubs and organisations have benefited from the area board’s funds.

These grants are debated publicly and the community work together with city and unitary councillors to influence how the board’s funds are spent.

Looking forward to 2016/17, the area board is set to be allocated a range of funds totalling approximately £125k, including a new fund dedicated to supporting projects and initiatives relating to the health and wellbeing of the city’s older people and carers.

For more information on grants available from the Salisbury Area Board, please contact Karen Linaker, Community Engagement Manager on 01722 434697.
