Open Gardens

23rd and 24th June from 13.00-17.00. Berwick St James is offering visitors the chance to see 12 attractive gardens – large and small – all offering something different to savour: amazing varieties of roses, rare plants, winning cottage gardens, unusual trees, wildflower settings and much more. Many of the gardens have stunning views of the valley, wet meadows and ancient woodland while others have river frontage offering diverse wildlife.

Come early (from midday) and enjoy refreshments and local produce being cooked on the barbeque. Stroll along the High Street and take the opportunity to leaf through a tempting variety of plants for sale and visit the arts and crafts exhibition being held in The Reading Room (opposite The Boot Inn) featuring works from local artisans. Later, indulge in delicious home-made cakes and a revitalising cup of tea beside the River Till. There will be a raffle on Sunday 24th with goods donated by local businesses.

Tickets £6 per adult, accompanied under 16s free. Tickets available on the day or beforehand at Berwick Farm Shop. Canine friends are welcome on short leads. There will be ample free parking and convenient parking for blue badge holders.
